Located North of Malibu is El Matador, a hidden gem amongst the many beaches that line Pacific Coast Highway. Though small in measure, El Matador is exceptionally beautiful with it’s breath-taking scenery made up of white sand, signature cliffs, and natural rock formations. The “pocket beach” is part of a triad of small, rocky beachfronts that together make up the Robert H. Meyer Memorial. It’s hard-to-find location has made El Matador a coveted spot for Malibu locals void of Paparazzi and Tourists. While you do have to hike down a steep staircase to reach El Matador, the journey to Malibu’s secret paradise is well worth it. While El Matador can become crowded quickly during the Summer, in off-season it’s the perfect place to seek relaxation and solitude.
